Callosa de Segura

Callosa de Segura is a very Spanish community village siutated only 2.5 kms from Junction 80 of the A7/E15 motorway from where it is possible to get to Alicante within 25 minutes and the City of Murcia within 20 minutes where both cities have excellent shopping facilities. Alicante also has the fabulous marina with great restaurants looking over the Alicante Port. Whilst retaining the local Spanish charm, property has been purchased by ex-pats, not only in the village but property in surrounding areas as well, as people have decided they may prefer property in quieter and very friendly villages.

The excellent snow slopes of Granada are less than 3 hours away and Benidorm about 1 hour away. The local railway station is only 10 kms from Callosa de Segura from where you can access both Madrid and Barcelona. Besides the local town of Albatera, Callosa de Segura is less than 10kms to the centre of the ancient city of Orihuela. Local street markets take place locally nearly every day and can all be reached within a short drive from Callosa de Segura. Callosa de Segura lays beneath the Crevillente(the carpet making centre of Spain})mountains where it is possible to walk for as long as you like. Callosa de Segura besides the facilities mentioned does have a Doctor's surgery and the Vega Baja Hospital is less than 15 minutes away. This Murcia area is very agricultural with the fields producing many types of vegetables, but most of the land around the village of Callosa de Segura produces lemons, oranges and pomegranates. On the sporting side, Callosa de Segura is within easy driving for golf at La Finca, Algorfa and at least 10 other courses can be reached within a 25 minute drive. Professional football can be seen in Alicante, Elche, Torrevieja and Murcia.

Callosa de Segura is only a short drive from the lovely beaches of Guardamar and La Marina.
