Calpe

Calpe is a bustling coastal town between Alicante and Valencia on the Costa Blanca. Benidorm 15 kms to the south is a busy tourist town providing plenty of leisure pursuits including theme parks and aqua parks. From Calpe, Alicante Airport is 1 hour drive and is served by low cost airlines Easyjet and Ryanair. Valencia Airport is 1 1/2 Hours drive .
Calpe has two wonderful beaches and numerous small coves. Inland it is protected by mountain ranges. The small port has a fishing fleet and a leisure marina . The port sits beneath the famous Penon de Ifach which towers 300 metres above it. The view from the summit affords spectacular views of the area
Calpe has a street market on Saturdays and a Rastro on Wednesdays. May fiestas are held throughout the year. The Moors and Christians at the end of October is a sight not to be missed.
